Wild Animals- Day 10

Wild Animal's- Day 9

Off to See Life Aquarium Arizona today http://www.visitsealife.com/Arizona/ I love this place because it's so close to home, kid's under 2 get in for free and we are no where near an ocean so it's a wonderful learning experience. Here are a few picture's from our field-Trip...

Wild Animals- Day 8

I didn't spend much time on Wild Animal's in the ocean because the theme for July is Ocean. The kid's did spend today doing ocean because tomorrow they will be going to Sea Life Aquarium, I wanted to take them to the Phoenix Zoo during Wild Animal's but it's just to hot. Here is what we did on Day 8....

Art- Textured Sea Horse Painting and finishing Mother's Day Flower pot's












































Science/Sensory- Sea Shells and Ocean Animal photo card's













Math- Putting 6 ocean animal sticker's on the number 6

Wild Animal's- Day 7

This is the week before Mother's day so for the most part Art will be working on the kid's Mother's Day gift. Here is what we did on Day 7.....

Art- Hand-print flower pot with flower & Hand-print poem














Science- We watched the frog life cycle video i posted on Day 2 and also had frog book's out in the reading center. So for Science we did the Frog life cycle puzzle to go along with the other center's.














Literacy- Looking for letter Aa under corn. I use this activity for almost every letter. I write the letter we are doing on a paper plates and cover it with corn, flour or oatmeal. I put out small paint brushes and have the kid's find the letter's.

Wild Animals- Day 6

Literacy- As the day's start to hit the high 90's and low 100's I definitely take advantage of random cool weather. Today was cool enough to go outside for a while so we did chalk letter's.

Wild Animals- Day 4

Science/Sensory is not pictured because we did guessing the Animal Sound. I down loaded an Animal Sound's App onto my phone and played the Animal sound. Some were hard so i gave clue's about the Animal as well, but here is what else we did on Day 4....

Wild Animal's- Day 3

Science/Sensory- Animal Hide and Seek. We talked about why & how Animal's camouflage.

Art- Zebra Hand-print's 
Literacy- Play-Doh Letter's Aa-Dd 
Math- Animal Match-up. I found Wild Animal photo card's for $1 at Target. I picked up a few pack's so i was able to cut a few for matching. 


Wild Animal's- Day 2

Here is what we did on Day 2 of Wild Animal's....

Art- We focused of the Frog Life Cycle for the day. The kid's made paper plate frog's.


Science- We watched the frog life cycle from the following link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NhA9SHunKs I would have loved to have tadpole's here but could not find any. The kid's also colored the frog life cycle. 
Literacy- Your Baby Can Read Animal word cards. I love the Your Baby Can Read program. We started the program when my son was 6 month's old and by age 1 he started reading.
Math- Animal Number Puzzle's

Wild Animals- Day 1

I am sorry I am behind in posting, May is a very busy month with our family so i am going to do my best over the next few day's to catch up. On another note I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! Our theme for May is Wild Animal's. We will only do a day or two on Ocean Animal's because or them for July is Ocean.

Dramatic Play- Wild Animal's that the kids can play with but i also found some animal mask's at my local Dollar Tree


















Science/Sensory-  Bean's & Wild Animal's. During the month of May we will also be using the water table with ocean animal's














Art- Animal Print's & during story time we reed "Whose Feet?"














Literacy- We will be reviewing letter's Aa-Dd and Animal word's. Today the kid's made a clothes pin Alligator.
