Spring- Day 7

Here is what we did do Day 7.....

Art- Hand-Print & golf ball painting Spider web. The kid's did golf ball painting in the morning and finished in the afternoon doing hand-prints in the shape of a spider.















Math- Bug Sorting by Color














Literacy- The Icky Bug Alphabet Book
 
Science- Photo Card's/ Body part's of a Spider 


Spring- Day 6

Here is what we did on Day 6 of Spring & Insects....

Art-  Butterfly bag collage. This was made with small sandwich bags, pipe cleaner and collage material.















Math/Science- Math & Science were one activity today. The kid's did The Very Hungry Caterpillar Sequencing but we also talked about the butterfly life cycle.Printed from the following link. Literacy- Dot Dd's for out monthly letter. The kids made dot's using the eraser side of the pencil & Ink

Spring-Day 5

The kids were super busy today but here is what we did on day 5....

Art- Hand-print Flower's 




















Math- Today's story was 5 Little Ladybugs, The kid's did ladybug stamp's on the number 5



















Science- Plant Observation's (White flower's in food coloring & Sunflower's) along with melting ice with Spring object's

































Literacy- Letter Puzzle's Aa-Dd

Spring- Day 4

Sorry everyone it has been a long time since I last posted. I have been trying to fill 1 open spot in my class & Planing for my son's 3rd Birthday party. I will do my best to catch my blog up. Here is what we did on Day 4 of Spring & Insect's.....

Art- Coffee Filter Butterfly (I will post a picture of the finished product later)















  Literacy- We went on a nature walk looking for things that start with Dd (dog,dirt, dandelion, door, ect.) 




Math- Butterfly Matching, I found wall decal's at the $1 store that i stuck to paper and cut in half.














Science- White Flower's in food coloring

Spring - Day 3

Spring- Day 2

Science- A big part of our science focus for the month will be gardening but also catching different bugs to observe.We have tons of beetles and that is what we caught today.














Art- Painting with flowers 

Literacy- Letter Dd's in Dirt 
Math/Cooking- The kids practiced measuring while making Choc. Pudding for Worms & Dirt in a cup. Choc. Pudding, Gummi Worms and Oreo's smashed up.



Spring- Day 1

April is our theme of Spring, growing, changes and Insect's. I start most unit's off with a class collage....















Dramatic Play- Flower's, Garden Tools, Bug catching nets & Bug catchers














Science- Insect books, Photo Cards, Magnifying glasses & Plastic Bugs and in our Sensory tub i put Dirty & Bugs.The insect photo cards are not pictured and either is Math, For Math the kids matched the plastic bugs up to the photo cards.

Literacy- Introduction to letter Dd and Letter Dd Collage. 



























Dr.Seuss - Day 10

Small group today due to the Holiday.

Science/Sensory- We started the day out with Horton Hears a Who and went on a Nature Walk. We talked about the things we could hear during our walk as well as see.

Art- Easter Egg Collage's


















Science- Planting Seeds. Our next unit is Spring and i thought this would bee a good time
to plant seeds so the kids could see the changes by the time they came back from the Easter Break.

Dr.Seuss - Day 9

We are in the last 2 day's of Dr.Seuss but also just a few day's before Easter as well. Today was the last Day that everyone would be in school before Easter so we had our Easter Day Party today. The morning started off with an Easter Egg Hunt. Since here in Phx. AZ we only know hot & cold. We are now hot and only able to do an out door Egg hunt in the morning.My camera died about mid afternoon so i was not able to take a final picture of the cupcakes or the Easter sensory tubs.



















Math- We have been doing egg matching by color so i added Easter sticker's on different eggs to change up what the kids have been doing.














Cooking-- The kids made Easter cupcake. They always love making cupcakes!
